According to leakers, Pokémon Legends: Z-A will not have any new species of Pokémon. Kalosian forms aren't in the cards for the future. That's a bit of a bummer, considering the precedent that Pokémon Legends: Arceus had set. Leakers are plenty confident, however, that Legends: Z-A plans to remediate that by bringing in a whole lot of Megas. 26 new Mega Evolutions (and possibly more) will be coming in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

How Will The New Mega Evolutions Become Available?
Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be centered around ranking up. The game's story will progress after you meet several different rank goals. Could you get a new Mega Stone after beating each rank boss? It's possible, but it's hard to say. The old Mega Evolutions being advertised so heavily makes it hard to predict anything related to obtainability. In all likelihood, though, it won't be that hard to see these new Megas in action.
