Hidden under all of the PlayStation State of Play news was the announcement of an official release date for Stellar Blade's PC port. While Sony took advantage of their presentation to announce a collab between Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: Nikke, they also quietly launched a Steam page for Stellar Blade behind the scenes. Stellar Blade for PC is becoming more and more of a reality, with an official release date currently scheduled for June 2025.
Shift Up, the developers behind Stellar Blade, expect the PC version of Stellar Blade to sell incredibly well. In fact, they expect it to outperform the console version. As a result, Shift Up is treating the upcoming PC release like an effective second launch. Stellar Blade for PC won't be some underbaked port.
Being made in Unreal Engine 4, Stellar Blade should actually see both great graphics and great performance on PC. Super modern hardware not required. Shift Up has also formally announced that they will be optimizing the game further for the new platform. Shift Up is so dedicated to a release on Steam that they'll actually be optimizing the game for the Steam Deck, as well.
New content will also be coming to Stellar Blade for its PC release. Presumably that isn't the recently revealed Nikke stuff, considering that it looks to be paid DLC. The collab does happen to also release in June, though. Enhanced user convenience and supplementary content were two of Shift Up's priorities for Stellar Blade on PC, however, so the new features will probably already be included in the game. An exciting new time with Stellar Blade is soon coming!
